‍Auto-progression Management

Product
Australia

Auto-progression Management will be available from 19 June 2025 for Australian businesses. This feature provides greater control over employee pay rate progression, allowing you to manually manage when employees advance to higher pay points instead of relying solely on automatic anniversary-based progression.

This feature helps businesses maintain compliance and ensure accurate pay rates, particularly for casual and part-time employees who may have different progression requirements. Key aspects of the feature include:

  • Disable automatic progression: Turn off auto-progression at the award or Employment Agreement level to prevent employees from automatically advancing to the next pay point on their anniversary date.
  • Manual pay rate control: When auto-progression is disabled, manually select appropriate Pay Rate Templates for employees when they meet specific progression requirements.
  • Selective application: Choose to disable auto-progression for all employees under an Employment Agreement or apply it selectively to individual employees based on your business needs.
  • API Updates: The following APIs have been updated to include the new field ‘disableAutoProgression’ that can be set to Null, True or False

POST   https:///api/v2/business/{businessId}/employee/unstructured
PUT   https:///api/v2/business/{businessId}/employee/unstructured/{employeeId}
GET   https:///api/v2/business/{businessId}/employee/unstructured/{employeeId}

The feature is available for businesses in Australia and requires Full Access permissions to configure auto-progression settings.
