Alternative holidays are accrued when an employee works on a public holiday that is their normal working day. Those that were accrued 12 months or more ago can be cashed out.
A new pay category for the cash out of alternative holidays has been added to the platform. When added to the pay run, the number of hours entered will be validated to ensure the employee has the entitlement and that entitlement is older than 12 months. If this is not the case, the platform will tell the user how many hours the employee can cash out.
