We’re making a small but important update to how Working Holiday Maker (WHM) visa information is configured in the platform.
At present, the system allows ‘Australia’ to be selected as the Visa Country for WHM employees. However, this is not a valid selection as the field is intended to reflect the country that issued the visa, not the country of employment. Selecting 'Australia' can lead to errors when finalising employees.
What’s changing?
To prevent this, the option to select ‘Australia’ will be removed from both the UI and API. This update ensures payroll administrators can correctly configure WHM employee records from the outset and avoid compliance issues.
If any of your clients have existing employees with 'Australia' set as their Visa Country, we recommend reviewing and updating those records.
