Updated pay rate template reapplication workflow

What’s changing?

When updating a pay rate template and reapplying it to linked employees:

• a progress bar displays in the modal to show update status
• you can close the modal while updates run in the background
• an ‘updating employee rates’ label and ‘view status’ button appear on the pay rate template during the update
• clicking ‘view status’ opens a new screen showing progress updates
• the status screen confirms when updated pay rates have been reapplied to linked employees

What do you need to do?

No action is required. This update is to inform users of the changed workflow.

Why we made this change?

We aimed to improve the performance of reapplying pay rate templates linked to thousands of employees. We also wanted to provide transparency and certainty on the progress to prevent users from creating pay runs while updates are in progress.
