In order to protect employee personal identifying information, partners can now choose to deactivate inactive businesses from Payroll.
To deactivate inactive client accounts and the associated data, follow the below instruction:
- Log in to the Partner Dashboard
- Navigate to the business maintenance page from the left side menu. Inactive businesses will have an archive icon on the right hand side.
Note: Businesses have to be inactive for four years or longer for the archive icon to be accessible.
- Select the archive icon
- Select Deactivate business
- Confirm the deactivation by typing ‘continue’ and select the Deactivate button
