Removing Employee Personal Identifying Information for Inactive Businesses

In order to protect employee personal identifying information, partners can now choose to deactivate inactive businesses from Payroll.

To deactivate inactive client accounts and the associated data, follow the below instruction:

  1. Log in to the Partner Dashboard
  2. Navigate to the business maintenance page from the left side menu. Inactive businesses will have an archive icon on the right hand side.
    Note: Businesses have to be inactive for four years or longer for the archive icon to be accessible.
  3. Select the archive icon
  4. Select Deactivate business
  5. Confirm the deactivation by typing ‘continue’ and select the Deactivate button
