Introducing 8-Week Custom Work Hours Configuration

Product
Australia

Currently when a manager or admin configures Custom Work Hours (Advanced Standard work hours), for an employee, they are restricted to a configuration of just 2 weeks.

On 12 November 2025, we are now extending that functionality so that up to 8 weeks of an advanced work pattern can be configured. All existing one and two week configuration patterns will persist and can be added to using this extended functionality.

Extending the custom work hours to 8 weeks offers significant advantages for businesses managing fly in/fly out or other rotational workforces.

It enables work week patterns to accurately reflect full work cycles, ensuring compliance with Award or Enterprise Agreement provisions that allow hours to be averaged over longer periods.

This improves the accuracy of overtime, leave, and pay calculations while reducing the need for manual adjustments. An extended period also provides clearer visibility of work week patterns, supporting more efficient workforce planning and reducing administrative overhead.
