We’ve introduced two significant improvements to the Award update process to save you time and reduce manual data entry. Staying up to date with the latest Award versions no longer means sacrificing your business specific customisations. These updates ensure your customised settings remain exactly as you left them, eliminating the need to manually re-apply changes after every update.
Previously, applying an Award update would reset any customised EA settings to the default package configuration. Now, if the system detects that you have modified an Award EA setting, you will see a new option "Preserve custom employment agreements" during the Award update installation process.
Previously, when an Award update was installed, any custom pay categories added by businesses to their Pay Rate Templates (PRTs) were nullified. Furthermore, any custom pay rates that had overridden the default configuration of an Award pay category would be reverted or disabled.
Now, when the system detects a modified pay rate in the Pay Rate Template (PRT), and the existing "Update pay rates" option is set to "Yes," a new option, "Preserve Custom Pay Rates," will now appear. Selecting this option ensures that any rates you have added to business pay categories or any Award rates you have overridden will remain active and unchanged after the Award update is installed.
